Your First 30 Days on Edgeworth
Emmanuel
๐กThe first 30 days on any investing platform are the most important. The decisions you make in your first month set the foundation for everything that follows. Here is a practical guide to making the most of your first 30 days.
Week 1 Set up properly, not quickly
Verify your identity. Fund your account with an amount you are comfortable losing โ not your entire savings. Set your risk parameters in the settings: daily loss limit, drawdown threshold, maximum risk per trade. Read at least 3 trader profiles before choosing who to follow.
Week 2 Start with one trader
Follow just one trader at first. Put a modest amount behind them โ not everything. Set a copy drawdown limit of 15โ20%. Watch how it works. See your positions open and close in real time. Get comfortable with the experience before you expand.
Week 3 Review and adjust
After 2 weeks of live copying: review your results. Is the trader performing as their Edge Score suggested? Is the style compatible with your risk tolerance? Did you find yourself anxious watching the positions? If the answer to the last question is yes โ consider a more Conservative tier trader.
Week 4 Diversify
If week 3 went well and you are comfortable with how copy trading works โ consider adding a second trader with a different style and asset class. A forex scalper plus a commodity swing trader gives you diversification across both strategy and market. The biggest mistake first-month investors make is putting too much money in too fast, following traders they have not properly researched, and panicking when a position goes negative temporarily. Slow down. Build your confidence. The market will be there next month.
